Jodie Solberg, SFTI Method: A Trauma-Informed Hypnotic Approach to Lasting Physical Change on July 11 at Northeast Library

NGHWA (National Guild of Hypnotists, Washington Chapter) loves to connect, educate the public about hypnosis and its applications and grow professionally. Hello Fellow Hypnotists, We look forward to meeting this Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 10:00am to noon at the Northeast Library, 6801 35th Avenue NE, Seattle. Dr. Jodie Solberg will present The SFTI Method of Mind-Body Transformation: A Trauma-Informed Hypnotic Approach to Lasting Physical Change.Physical symptoms often tell a deeper story. While many hypnotherapy approaches focus on reducing or eliminating symptoms, the SFTI (Solution Focused Trauma Informed) Method seeks to understand why the subconscious mind created those symptoms in the first place. In this educational presentation, SFTI Hypnosis Academy co-founder Dr. Jodie Solberg introduces the SFTI Method of Mind-Body Transformation, a clinical framework developed with her business partner, Cormac Colleran, that integrates solution-focused hypnosis, trauma-informed care, nervous system regulation, and subconscious change work. Participants will explore how unresolved emotional experiences, chronic stress, limiting beliefs, and protective subconscious patterns can contribute to physical conditions such as chronic pain, weight challenges, digestive disorders, autoimmune presentations, and other stress-related symptoms. Drawing from both neuroscience and years of clinical practice, this presentation demonstrates how working with the subconscious mind can support meaningful physical transformation while remaining within the ethical scope of hypnotherapy. Jodie will illustrate how practitioners can identify the emotional and psychological drivers of physical symptoms and facilitate lasting change by addressing root causes rather than managing symptoms alone. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection, the core principles of the SFTI Method, and practical strategies they can begin incorporating into their clinical practice immediately.     Dr. Jodie Solberg is a Certified Master Clinical Hypnotherapist, international speaker, and best-selling author, and co-founder of the SFTI Hypnosis Academy, where she trains Hypnotherapists worldwide. In her private practice, Psyched Up Success, she specializes in issues such as anxiety, addiction, and physical health challenges resulting from trauma. She serves as President of the NGH Washington Chapter and on the boards of the North American Hypnotherapy Guild and the Hypnosis Education Association. In 2025, Jodie was named Hypnotherapist of the Year by the Michigan International Hypnosis Conference.             Jodie will be giving away the book, Burnout to Bliss to one person in attendance. Jeremy Huggard will present Ego States: Re-imagining our Inner Landscapes

NGHWA (National Guild of Hypnotists, Washington Chapter) loves to connect, educate the public about hypnosis and its applications and grow professionally. Hello Fellow Hypnotists, We look forward to meeting this Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10:00am to noon at the Marysville Library, 6120 Grove St, Maryville. Jeremy Huggard will present Ego States: Re-imagining our Inner Landscapes.Jeremy’s hypnosis trainer, Mike Mandel, says any issue we resolve with hypnosis is ultimately an ego state issue. Jeremy believes that most issues we encounter as hypnotists boil down to our clients feeling stuck. Maybe stuck with an addiction or unwanted behavior, maybe oppressive feelings or limiting beliefs, or perhaps simply not knowing what to do. In terms of ego states, what we’re dealing with is essentially old programming, systems that were designed to best navigate our lived experience at one time in our lives, and which may need significant help to properly update and align with what our conscious mind is currently working to achieve. Jeremy’s role as a hypnotist is to help clients more readily access their own resources and establish forward momentum with confidence, resilience, and grace. He doesn’t feel there’s a single best way to do this, and working with ego states is just the one that resonates most. Jeremy’s approach can change dramatically from client to client; however, the goals are always along the same lines… He wants to help their ego states work together, to feel enthusiastic about their roles, and to just feel happier in general. Jeremy came to hypnosis relatively recently, having started in late 2024, getting certified through the Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy in early 2025, and now working towards opening an online practice in 2026. Drawn to ego state work from early on, the majority of Jeremy’s continued education and practice sessions have focused on that approach. He also runs a weekly online group practice through MMH where like-minded students can explore parts and work together. Jeremy will be giving away the book Therapist Gold: Treating Fear-Based Trauma and Attachment Trauma by Emmerson and Essing to one person in attendance. Lynnea Jardine will present Back to Basics! The Value of Affirmations, Developmental Theory, and Timelines in Hypnotherapy

NGHWA (National Guild of Hypnotists, Washington Chapter) loves to connect, educate the public about hypnosis and its applications and grow professionally. We look forward to meeting on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 10:00am to noon at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Avenue W, Mountlake Terrace. Lynnea Jardine will present Back to Basics! The Value of Affirmations, Developmental Theory, and Timelines in Hypnotherapy.“All that we have ever been and all that we ever need to be is known in the eternal place inside ourselves where all is quiet.“ Ram DasMaking peace with one’s personal history often brings clients to seek counsel. Lynnea believes Hypnotherapy is an art form. Hypnotherapy can be one of the most useful tools for identifying problems. Once identified, in the spaciousness of the quieting of their minds, she suggests there is access to the creative space, with tools of transformation and insight, supporting new, aligned intentions for self-care, self-love, and the way of their becoming. On Lynnea’s intake form, she suggests that clients will become more capable of meeting life situations with greater grace and making life-affirming choices. She believes in the ethic of assisting clients in finding their inherent wisdom through developmental assessments. With current and relevant information, the practice of using affirmations anchors new information that clients have identified, creating a new field of understanding for living spontaneously, congruently, with deep inner goal(s), and the life of their dreams. With practice and conscious awareness tools, Lynnea suggests that clients can course-correct in alignment with their personal principles and ethics. Lynnea  developed her unique style through extensive education and training, working in hospitals as a respiratory therapist, in complementary health care clinics, in medical massage, in psychological, spiritual, cross-cultural, and religious studies in chaplaincy, as an ordained interfaith minister, with mastery in spiritual care and counseling. Lynnea has worked throughout the Greater Puget Sound, throughout the USA, and internationally. Lynnea has designed and facilitated drop-in support groups, classes, workshops, and retreats: Using Loss as a Turning Point for Growth©. Lynnea will be giving away the book, Growing Up Again: Parenting Ourselves, Parenting Our Children by Jean Illsley Clarke and Connie Dawson, to one person in attendance, in-person or online.
