Barbara Decker will present Somatic Tools and IEMT.
IEMT is similar to EMDR, but available to Hypnotists. IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy) allows the person needing assistance to follow an eye-movement protocol to lessen the impact of an incident in their life that constantly triggers a negative reaction. The situation is discussed, addressed, and given a number for its impact. As the movement continues, the number often lessens, and it becomes harder to “find” what they were upset about. Eye movement directly correlates with how the brain remembers incidents. This enables the distressed person to address their challenge and lessen the impact. Barbara’s training came from Sonia Griffiths of the UK. This will be an experiential session.
As a childbirth educator since 1971, I had the pleasure of being introduced to Hypnosis for Birthing in 1999. That began my journey, which expanded to becoming a Certified Consulting Hypnotist-NGH in 2011. Since then, I have combined teaching with learning techniques that assist healing from perinatal trauma and lived experiences that often come from the perinatal period.
